Battery ordinance

Note on battery disposal
Goods to be purchased from us may contain batteries or rechargeable batteries, so in this context we would like to point out with reference to the Battery Act that you as the end consumer are obliged to return these batteries or rechargeable batteries. According to § 10 BattG, we are obliged to charge a deposit of 7.50 euros including VAT per vehicle battery if you do not return an old vehicle battery at the time of purchase of the new vehicle battery. You will receive a deposit voucher when you purchase a vehicle battery. This will be noted separately on the invoice. You can return the old vehicle battery to us for a refund of the deposit. Please refer to the address listed in the imprint for the return address.
Due to the hazardous goods regulations, it is not permitted to ship the old vehicle battery.
Disposal in the household waste is expressly forbidden according to the battery law!
Batteries or rechargeable batteries can be returned free of charge to a municipal collection point or to your local retailer (i.e. wherever you can buy batteries or rechargeable batteries).
In addition, you can also return them (except vehicle batteries) to us or hand them in at our sales outlet.
Batteries that contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin. Under this symbol you will also find a reference to the corresponding chemical name of the pollutant.
The designations stand for
- Cd" = cadmium
- Pb" = lead
- Hg" = mercury
You will also find this information again in the documents accompanying the delivery of goods or in the manufacturer's operating instructions.
