Applying a windscreen sealant should not be more complex than cleaning the windscreen. A quick stop in the pit lane is one of the most important things. Race & rally teams use the windscreen sealant in the run-up to the race. This ensures that 1. the rain runs off quickly during the laps 2. cleaning during the pit stop is quicker, just 1-2 sprays with DM Glass Cleaner for streak-free cleaning 3. less wear on wipers 4. a clear view right to the finish line
Application smooth on easy off Application is simple.
In addition to the sealant, you need a low-pile microfibre cloth. The solution is sprayed onto the windows and then evenly distributed and removed directly afterwards with the microfibre cloth. The product can be layered: i.e. a second application can be made after approx. 30 minutes.
Service life and kilometres depend on the vehicle and use!
An approximate average can be determined depending on use: On the company vehicle, from December to the beginning of March with a lot of salt on the road, it was approx. 9500 km before a new coat was applied. In an endurance race, the solution is applied before each race. When using the windscreen wipers in city traffic, you can expect a service life / durability of approx. 5000 km.
If necessary or if the sealant wears off, the sealant can simply be added again - it couldn't be easier.
